Lady Moon Farms wanted their heirloom tomato box redesigned to feature their new branding. The direction for the updated box was that it had to be bold and uniquely Lady Moon Farms. The new tagline “share the love®” needed to be included and it needed to be clear that this product was organic
The initial designs that we presented were a little too cartoon like and were a little off the mark for what the client wanted. We provided a second round of ideas by first presenting the client with sketched mockups and moving onto final designs based on feedback about the sketches. This next round of ideas was still not exactly what the client is after. This is extremely rare that we do not nail the design on the first try let alone the second. What would the solution be?
Since the client was willing to do whatever it took to get the design he wanted we opened the project up to all of our designers. The results were beyond our expectations. The client ultimately choose a design that we did not expect based on the initial project brief but they couldn’t be more pleased with the results. The Favorite Concept & Final Changes
The box design shown here was the client’s favorite but it still wasn’t quite right. The new branding featured a lot of purple and the logo was not the correct colors. We updated the design to feature more purple while taking care to not introduce too many colors. Since this design is printing in spot colors on corrugated cardboard we are limited by the amount of colors we could use. We ultimately decided on a 5 color design.
